Love Must Be Demonstrated, Not Just Talked – Super Model Anita Ofori

Ghanaian Super Model, Anita Ofori has taken time out her busy schedules to preach and elaborate on the subject of ‘Love’ on this special day.

As the world is celebrating ‘Valentine’s Day’, Anita Ofori thought it expedient to add her voice to what ‘Love’ actually means and its characteristics.

To send out her message, Anita Ofori took on to her Facebook page to sensitize her friends, family, fans, and followers on the subject of ‘Love’ and the significance of celebrating Val’s day.

According to her, there is more to love than what people actually know because love must be demonstrated and not just talks.

Anita Ofori buttressed her argument with several verses from the Holy Bible and cited some African leaders who fought hard for their countries out of love.

“14th February. Valentine’s Day. I wish everyone a happy Valentine’s Day. I will like to draw our minds to a few things. God is Love. We need to thank the Lord for loving us first by giving us the gift of life, success, beautiful family, grace, his son Jesus Christ etc. Count your blessings and it will surprise you what the Lord has done. Love is giving and God demonstrates this by giving to us. The best we can do is to love him back, give our hearts 💕 to him and also give back to everyone in the world by sharing God with them and sharing good news about his love.
Luke: 10v27 says ” love the Lord your God with all your heart and your soul. Love him with all your strength and your mind. And love your neighbor as yourself”. This is the most important commandment from God

Loving our neighbors also requires that we go out of our way to do things for them.

You cannot love without giving. And I don’t mean giving In just the material context but the non-material things like your time, loyalty, faithfulness, your heart etc.

One point I will like us to note is that love is very necessary and love has certain characteristics, so if you say you love someone, those characteristics must show.
1 Corinthians: 13 outlines clearly what love is and what love is Not.
I will take some pointers from 1 Corinthians: 6-8: ” Love is patient. Love is kind. Love does not want what belongs to others. It does not brag. It is not proud. It does not dishonor other people. It does not look out for its own interests. It does not easily become angry. It does not keep track of other people’s wrongs. 6 Love is not happy with evil 😈. But it is full of Joy when the truth is spoken. 7 it always protects. It always trusts. It always hopes. It never gives up. 8 Love never fails. Hmm… This is really deep and I know that we all might fall short at one point or the other.
It is rather a shame that we preach so much love in Africa but show so less love.

Our attitudes and lifestyle do not reflect the much love we preach as our societies are characterized by disloyalty, selfishness, greed, wickedness, filth, corruption, laziness etc which is totally the opposite of love…

We cannot say we love someone or our country yet mismanage funds, backbite one another, not support one another, litter our environment etc.

It’s about time we PRACTICE MORE LOVE THAN WE PREACH.

we need to change our attitudes by taking up the core values and principles that we once believed in, appreciated and actually practiced. Loyalty, kindness, Truth, selflessness, honesty, true patriotism etc.

Let’s learn from individuals like Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and Yaa Asantewaa of Ghana, Nelson Mandela of South Africa who put down their lives for their countries irrespective of the challenges. That is patriotism. That is real love .

Let us show more love by helping and encouraging each other. Believing in New talents and pushing them to grow instead of shutting them down. Let’s hold in high esteem loyalty. Let’s learn to stand by the truth but nothing else. Different industries must work together in unity and love to push their ultimate goals and not discourage and envy each other.

Let’s change our attitudes for a better Africa.

Africa will become a much better place if WE ACTUALLY PRACTICE THE MUCH LOVE THAT WE PREACH.

LET’S LOVE ONE ANOTHER
LET LOVE LEAD

Happy Valentine’s Day.
Happy chocolate Day
Happy Red day to the lovers of the color Red.

God bless us all

Much love
#Supermodel Anita Ofori”
